Transport Planning Lead

Access Talent Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced transport planning professional to join their team as a Principal / Associate Transport Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop projects, work with a dynamic and innovative consultancy, and contribute to shaping the future of transportation in the UK.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and inspire teams of consultants in shaping the future of active travel projects, ensuring quality and excellence across all aspects of the work.
- Collaborate with fellow experts on projects and policies, expanding your skill set while making a lasting impact on urban development.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of projects, from planning to delivery, driving innovation at every step.
- Develop and review impactful consultation reports, policy documents, and technical presentations that revolutionise transportation experiences.
- Engage with stakeholders to craft policies and projects that resonate with communities.
- Maintain high-quality project files and implement improved procedures for an unrivalled level of service.
- Exceed client expectations by expertly handling enquiries and turning dreams into reality.
- Support bids that secure work with existing and new clients, forging strong partnerships to reshape the transport landscape.
- Membership of a professional institution (e.g., TTP, MICE or MCIHT) or working towards this prestigious status.
- Project management certification (PRINCE2 or APM).
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Proficiency in public engagement and consultation for transport projects.
- Familiarity with traffic order making and legislation.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience in the policy and statutory framework governing Healthy Streets, transport planning, and related activities.
- Graphic design skills in Adobe Suite.
- A track record of successful involvement in active travel projects.
- Experience working in a UK local authority within a related team.
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 Per Annum
