Job Title: Part-Time Learning Support Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Part-Time Learning Support Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in partnership with class teachers to support learning and implement individualized education plans.
  • Deliver whole-class, group, and one-to-one interventions to support students' learning needs.
  • Provide efficient and effective support for students with additional needs, ensuring their integration within the main Academy.
  • Support students in line with their Education, Health & Care Plans.

About Our Provision:

We offer an enhanced provision based in West Essex, primarily supporting primary schools within Uttlesford. Our provision aims to reduce exclusions and support students' return to mainstream education.

We provide a cooked school lunch for every child who wishes to take up this offer, for the duration of their placement. Our practice is grounded in the principles of nurture and the latest research on attachment and trauma.

We are committed to safeguarding and child protection and require all applicants to satisfy background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
