As an experienced Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and effectiveness of the Purchasing Department. This includes ensuring the availability of stock in line with current and future customer demand and/or market trends. You will work closely with the team, placing and expediting orders as needed, and managing the commercial impact of sourcing operations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in negotiating with suppliers, global sourcing practices, and demand planning principles. Additionally, you should have experience in managing a team and possess advanced commercial understanding and negotiation skills. A competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum is offered, depending on experience, along with enhanced holiday entitlement, company pension contributions, and a friendly team environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Team Management - overseeing the day-to-day running of the team, including task prioritization, coaching, and performance management.
• Demand Planning - developing processes to deliver the right stockholding based on customer demand schedules and forecasts.
• Product Knowledge - ensuring industry knowledge remains current within the Purchasing team through training and engagement.
• Financial Performance - leading cost reductions and value additions across all suppliers.
• Continual Improvement - identifying and implementing process improvements within Purchasing to reduce risk and inefficiencies.
• Quality - managing and resolving issues identified through non-conformances and customer complaints.
