We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Educator to join our team at a reputable Secondary School in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
  • Encourage active participation, foster critical thinking, and promote problem-solving skills in students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources that enhance the learning experience.
  • Contribute to the school's ethos and policies, promoting positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Maths or STEM Degree.
  • Have recent experience teaching Maths in an education setting.
  • Be able to provide professional references, relating to your teaching within the last 2 years.
  • Be a passionate educator with the ability to differentiate tasks for differing levels.
  • Hold a Child Only DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
