Cat Rescue Support Worker

Join us at Shropshire Cat Rescue as a Cat Rescue Support Worker and contribute to the welfare and well-being of our feline residents. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of these amazing animals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering medication and maintaining accurate records
- Conducting behavioural assessments and habituating young kittens
- Providing grooming and microchipping services for cats
- Assisting with rehabilitation exercises and physiotherapy
- Bathing cats and kittens as needed
- Taking blood pressure readings and monitoring health
Working Arrangements:
This role requires 16-17 hours per week over a 6-month contract. You will work from our Bayston Hill Shelter and need a car and clean driving license.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 months experience in a veterinary practice
- Excellent cat handling skills and Fear Free knowledge
- Computer literacy and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with volunteers
Remuneration:
As a valued member of our team, you can expect a salary of £11.50 per hour.
