Literary Retail Operations Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Literary Retail Operations Specialist to join our team at the Institute of Contemporary Arts.
Job Description:
- Manage Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee the smooth running of our bookshop and retail space, ensuring that all aspects of the business are operating efficiently.
- Stock Management and Merchandising: Develop and implement effective stock management strategies, including ordering, pricing, and product displays to maximize revenue from retail offerings.
- Sales Strategies: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth, working closely with the Finance team for reconciliation and stock management.
- Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise and train retail staff to ensure excellent customer service, providing coaching and guidance to support their development.
- Online Retail Platforms: Manage our online retail platforms, ensuring seamless sales and fulfilment processes.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyse sales reports, set targets, and monitor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and revenue growth opportunities.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in retail management, including merchandising, stock control, and customer service.
- Retail Software and E-commerce Platforms: Experience with retail software (e.g., Booksolve, Shopify, Spektrix) and e-commerce platforms.
