Industrial Waste Collection Driver

We are seeking a Class 2 HGV / LGV Cat C Skip and Roll on Roll off Driver to deliver, pick up and exchange skip/rollonoffs and/or trade/FEL bins within different environments ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
  • Complete Vehicle Inspections: Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport department.
  • Accident Reporting: Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
  • Waste Management: Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
  • Customer Service: The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
  • Site Management: Ensuring skips placed on the road have a road permit, and lights and cones are placed around the skip as detailed in Company procedures.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company's safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
  • Maintenance of Vehicle: Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
  • Work Coordination: Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.

This is not an exhaustive list. You may also be required to carry out any other duties as required by the business that you are qualified/trained in that meet the scope, spirit and purpose of this role.
