We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our client\u2019s team in Brighton. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing tax advisory services to a diverse range of clients, including actors, artists, sports professionals, and businesses in the entertainment sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaising with HMRC on clearance applications, enquiries, and other tax-related matters
  • Drafting reports and letters of advice on tax advisory issues
  • Preparing calculations to support tax advice
  • Liaising with clients and attending meetings with team members
  • Training and reviewing the work of junior team members
  • Providing support to Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory Group
Examples of Work:
  • Advising on corporate reconstructions, investor reliefs, and staff incentive schemes
  • Providing tax planning advice to owner-managed businesses
  • Preparing research and development claims, VAT returns, and SDLT returns
  • Advising individuals on IHT planning and CGT mitigation
  • Reviewing corporate tax computations and returns
Requirements:
  • CTA qualification or AAT/ACA/ACCA qualification with a keen interest in studying towards CTA
  • Experience in corporate taxes is essential, with experience in other areas of tax beneficial
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent teamwork and organisational skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
