About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Support Officer to join our dynamic team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, facilitation, and monitoring of projects and work packages.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan, support, facilitate, and monitor elements of projects or work packages.
  • Draft work packages, plans, and reports to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and to specification.
  • Work closely with programme/informatics staff and stakeholders to deliver projects within the informatics portfolio.
  • Provide management, direction, and support to project support officers and programme staff.
  • Represent Informatics by participating in health board/national teams and groups.
  • Manage staff within your area of responsibility, including line management, appraisals, sickness management, recruitment, and selection.

Requirements

  • Education to degree level or equivalent work experience and knowledge.
  • ILM Management Level 3 or equivalent qualification/work experience and knowledge.
  • Evidence of continual professional development.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, organise/prioritise own and team workload.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear, fluent, and persuasive manner.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Level 2 registration for UK Council for Health Informatics (UKCHIP).
  • PRINCE2 Foundation or similar qualification/equivalent work experience and knowledge.
  • ECDL or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of managing staff, influencing at all levels, and problem identification and solving.
