We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting young people who struggle to access and engage with mainstream school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality educational sessions to students on a 1:1 basis, tailored to their individual needs and learning styles.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Plan and prepare engaging lesson plans, resources, and activities to promote student learning and progress.
- Monitor and assess student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and adjusting instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and ideas to enhance student learning and outcomes.
Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of students and the organization.
