Volunteer Sewing Instructor

We are recruiting a Sewing Instructor to join our team at Medaille Trust, a leading UK charity fighting modern slavery. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering our sewing activities and supporting the recovery of vulnerable individuals.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of sewing, including the safe use and teaching of sewing machines. They will also possess strong communication skills, enabling them to engage with female adults in a trauma-informed way and provide guidance and support to our service users.
This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others while developing your skills and experience. You will work closely with our staff to deliver activities according to agreed procedures, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our service users.
Key Requirements:- Extensive knowledge and experience of sewing.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with female adults in a trauma-informed way.
- Ability to commit to volunteering every fortnight and pass an enhanced DBS check.
