**Job Overview:** Our client, a major international group, is investing heavily in a new manufacturing facility to produce complex high-value components for the automotive industry. We are looking for an Automotive Tool Design Engineer to support current production and future new product introduction.

The role involves designing and developing new tooling, including high-pressure dies casting tools, trim/clip tools, spray heads, and robot end effectors and jigs & fixtures. You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure successful introduction of new products into production.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design and develop new tooling, including high-pressure dies casting tools, trim/clip tools, spray heads, and robot end effectors and jigs & fixtures
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to ensure successful introduction of new products into production
  • Apply design for manufacture (DFM) principles to evaluate product designs and produce summary reports

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Significant experience of Tooling working as either a Tooling Project Engineer or Tool Design Engineer incorporating design and project management
  • Proficient using 2D/3D CAD - interrogate & optimise designs
  • Expert knowledge of tooling - die casting/metal stamping/plastic injection moulding
