Job Title: Nightshift Maintenance EngineerAbout the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nightshift Maintenance Engineer to join our team at McCormick & Company, Incorporated. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our condiments manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor and maintain plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  2. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with AIB / EFSIS / GMP Standards.
  3. Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely start-up of plant and maintain a safe working environment.
  4. Develop and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  5. Manage small projects and assist with major projects to drive business growth.
  6. Ensure full compliance with Company Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.
  7. Coordinate the activities of outside Engineers, Contractors, and Vendors.
Requirements
  1. Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in relevant Engineering Discipline.
  2. Working experience in food or consumer products industry, supported by a good track record of acquiring Engineering skills, continuous learning.
  3. A good understanding of inter-discipline skills and multi-skilling preferred.
  4. A solid grounding in food handling safe practices.
  5. An awareness of HACCP, PUWER, LOLA and COSHH preferred.
  6. Have a working knowledge of AC/DC drives and associated control equipment.
  7. Good written and verbal communication skills - ability to deal with both suppliers and internal customers.
  8. PC literate (Experience of MS Word, Lotus Notes and Excel Spreadsheets).
  9. Problem solving and fault-finding skills.
  10. Able to interpret schematic diagrams.
  11. Able to work on own initiative and highlight Continuous Improvement opportunities.
  12. Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work and colleagues, able to work in a team.
