About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing all employee relations case work, including grievances, disciplinaries, absence management, performance improvement, flexible working requests, appeals, mediation, consultation, restructures, ACAS and tribunal claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage ER cases independently, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Support the organisation through restructures and other organisational change initiatives
  • Coach managers to deal with employees in a fair and effective manner
  • Create and deliver ER training for managers
  • Develop and maintain people policies, ensuring they are legally compliant
  • Provide guidance and support to the HR team as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing ER case work, including grievances, disciplinaries, absence management, performance improvement, flexible working requests, appeals, mediation, consultation, restructures, ACAS and tribunal claims
  • Strong knowledge of employment and case law around ER topics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing workload requirements
