Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Renault. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional vehicle maintenance and repair services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnose vehicle faults, interpreting repair order instructions and technical information.
  • Plan and execute necessary work, ordering parts to ensure vehicles are ready for delivery as promptly as possible.
  • Perform all servicing and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards, utilizing effective time and resource management, and adhering to vehicle protection protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Workshop Supervisor/Controller to discuss any work requiring specialist skills.
  • Accurately document vehicle faults and work completed for ease of reference by service reception, including detailed actions taken.
  • Adhere to relevant health and safety procedures, including the use of protective clothing and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working area, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure correct warranty procedures and clocking details are followed in line with defined company procedures.
  • Return all exchanged parts to the Parts department.
  • Conduct MOT testing of vehicles and complete necessary paperwork in accordance with required regulations.
  • Recover defective or damaged vehicles in accordance with the Supervisor's instructions.
  • Stay up-to-date with technical developments through attending training courses as required by the Manager.
  • Maintain quality standards of dress, attitude, customer care, honesty, and health and safety to portray a professional image to customers at all times.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Work Pattern

This is a Full-Time position:

  • Monday – Friday (08:30 – 17:30)
  • Saturdays on a rota basis 1 in 2 (08:30 – 12:30)

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence with no major endorsements.
  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance or a relevant level of work experience as an automotive technician.
  • Be enthusiastic, respectful, and friendly to customers and colleagues.
  • Possess a positive/can-do attitude.
  • Have the passion and ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Possess high levels of integrity and drive to succeed.
