Job Title: QHSE Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to manage our client's Quality Assurance, Environmental, and Health and Safety systems. As QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining ISO and IATF accreditation by fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and standards are applied, promoting a culture of safety first.
  • Work cross-functionally with department heads to improve the working environment and business processes.
  • Set the vision and strategy for quality, promoting a culture of ownership across all departments.
  • Maintain the suitability and effectiveness of the QMS and procedures, ensuring process compliance and deploying internal QMS audits.
  • Support the development and implementation of FMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Controls in accordance with IATF and customer requirements.
  • Monitor customer, plant, and supplier quality performance, providing rapid response for quality problems and driving robust problem-solving activities.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to IATF, quality, environmental, and safety requirements.
  • Facilitate accident, incident, and near-miss investigations using 5 WHY, brainstorming, and 5M problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ensure all risk assessments are reviewed periodically to ensure suitability for business needs and conformity to regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate regular fire drills and liaise with the Operations Manager to ensure fire alert and suppression systems are well maintained and monitored.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager to maintain and monitor processes and activities to reduce recognised hazards.
  • Manage the department's spend with the General Manager and Finance Manager.
  • Liaise with HR/Occupational Health to monitor Occupational health, stress, and mental health at work.
Requirements:
  • Managerial skills.
  • Certified management system qualifications and experience.
  • Internal QMS/process auditing experience and qualifications (ISO9001/IATF).
  • Knowledge and practical skills using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience using MRP/ERP systems.
  • Health and safety and environmental management regulatory requirements knowledge.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in industry-recognised problem-solving methodologies.
