Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for plant biology and crop growth? Do you have experience in managing research pipelines, leading teams, and ensuring food safety? We are seeking an experienced Crop Growth Specialist to join our team at AgFunder.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Crop Growth Specialist to manage our recipe development pipeline. As a Senior Plant Biologist, you will be responsible for developing resource plans, estimating timelines, and liaising with our research and product management teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the resource plan for the pipeline, ensuring successful trials and on-time delivery
  • Liaise with research and product management teams to coordinate trials for all crops in the pipeline
  • Coordinate with data science teams to collect robust data during trials and finalize reports for stakeholders
  • Establish a framework for our QMS system with product management and science teams to guarantee food safety
  • Lead internal QMS system analysis and run experiments on various samples provided by stakeholders
Requirements
  • PhD + 2-3 years of experience in Plant Biology, Physiology, Plant Biochemistry, Horticulture, Plant Breeding, Genetics, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Agricultural Engineering, or related discipline
  • Masters + 5 years industrial experience in relevant areas
  • Experience in indoor plant growth (Green House, Container, Vertical Farm)
  • Experience in managing people, resources, and research pipelines
  • Project management tools desirable
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
