Seeking a Safety Specialist to Support Defence Clients

About the Role:
RINA is seeking a highly experienced Safety Specialist to join our Defence team. As an Independent Safety Auditor, you will play a key role in ensuring safety engineering activities comply with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead ISA engagements to deliver high-quality results on time and to budget;
- Manage projects and develop expertise in safety engineering management solutions;
- Support bids and proposals, and contribute to report writing and analysis;
- Provide expert counsel to Defence customers and promote RINA's Safety capability through relationship building and presentations;
- Assist the Safety management team in augmenting safety capability to meet emerging market demands.
Requirements:
- At least ten years' experience in delivering safety engineering management solutions;
- Proven expertise in airworthiness, including complex inter-twined safety assessments across air platforms, systems, equipment, safety, and environmental aspects;
- Knowledge of UK MOD air platforms and the procurement process;
- Previous experience in using Safety Engineering tools such as Reliability Workbench, ASCE, BowTie, ETA, or FTA;
- Working knowledge of Defence Standards: Def Stan 00-056 and Def Stan 00-51;
- Some working knowledge of ASEMS, POSMS, and POEMS processes;
- An engineering background;
- UK Security Clearance or British citizenship with a willingness to undergo vetting.
