Job Title: Sampling and Analysis Technician

Esken Renewables is a leading supplier of biomass fuel, and we are seeking a highly skilled Sampling and Analysis Technician to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist in the sampling and analysis of processed fuel. The successful candidate will be responsible for sampling processed material, conducting tests, and monitoring inbound quality at our Pollington site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sampling of processed material and testing for particle size and moisture
  • Monitoring of inbound quality at Pollington
  • Maintenance of database of supplier quality
  • Sampling of inbound items for quality intelligence
  • Supplier intelligence to allow correct truck area allocation on site for each supplier upon tipping to maximise picking process whilst minimising H&S risk
  • Provide guidance to Operations in what can be accepted/rejected based on current fuel/plant issues
  • Site visits, sampling and audit, of third party processed material
  • Working closely with Procurement team to audit and maintain supply chain quality
  • Sharing learning between SATs/IQTs between sites
Requirements
  • Maths and English to minimum GCSE standard
  • IT qualification or familiarity with MS Office products
  • Familiar with technical terminology
  • A current clean UK driving License
  • Material testing (specific training will be provided)
  • Audit (internal) training/experience
  • Providing detailed spreadsheet reports
  • Working to and meeting deadlines
  • Working in a fast-paced evolving business
  • Safety minded at all times
  • Equally comfortable dealing with site operatives up to senior manager level
  • Have excellent self-organisational skills and ensure that documentation is completed to the required standard, minimising errors
