About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our Planning and Environment Team as a Development and Consenting Specialist. This is a core role within our multidisciplinary renewable energy company, offering consultancy, design, development, build, and management of renewable assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and manage the development and consenting stages of renewable energy projects for our clients and Joint Venture (JV) partners.
  • Employ best practice project development and community/stakeholder engagement principles to achieve a high degree of success in the planning system.
  • Coordinate survey works, discharge planning conditions, and monitor compliance on construction and operational phases.
  • Develop and build excellent client, stakeholder, and community relationships.
  • Manage large inter-disciplinary planning teams, comprising internal and external resources, to ensure excellent outputs and high-quality submissions.
Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant planning and environmental legislation across the UK.
  • Experience of managing large inter-disciplinary planning teams and managing multiple projects at various stages in development.
  • Ability to develop and build excellent client, stakeholder, and community relationships.
  • Experience in the submission and management of planning appeals.
  • Experience in the development and consenting of energy infrastructure projects in the UK is desirable but not necessary.
