We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English tutor to join our team at GSL Education.

About the Role:

As an English tutor, you will work one-to-one with students in Year 6 transitioning to Year 7, as well as assist Year 10 and Year 11 students in preparing for their GCSEs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students' current understanding of English and focus on areas where they need the most help.
  • Develop tailored learning plans to meet individual student needs and monitor progress, providing feedback and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student learning and progress.
  • Create a positive and motivating learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent tutoring qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English, with the ability to teach across different levels.
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with secondary school students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping students succeed.
