Job Title: Mechanical Package Lead

ICDS is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Package Lead to join our team. As a key member of our MEP Construction team, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical activities on site, ensuring they are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Align mechanical activities to ensure safe completion, prioritizing the health and safety of all stakeholders.
  • Lead by example, promoting Company-specific Health & Safety policies and procedures, and ensuring they are integrated into all discussions.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies, such as Lock Out Tag Out.
  • Have a thorough understanding of project mechanical systems and track installation to ensure compliance with specification and program needs.
  • Assist in developing project-specific Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs) and have an understanding of commissioning requirements.
  • Complete site inspections to ensure mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works conform to relevant requirements.
  • Coordinate rooms and areas to meet relevant CSA and MEP Quality standards and requirements for advanced Beneficial Use.
  • Ensure stakeholders receive necessary information to progress systems installation, allowing for works progression in line with the master construction program.
  • Manage contractors and vendors to ensure they are adequately resourced to complete works successfully.
  • Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities and sequencing to focus on work faces in terms of Mechanical and CSA scope, enhancing program delivery.
  • Chair and input into onsite and offsite meetings with all relevant project stakeholders as per project requirements.
  • Issue weekly progress & costs reports as required.
  • Manage sub-contractor activities, tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
  • Review and ensure system mechanical stakeholders produce relevant documents, including Construction and Commissioning Programs, Works execution documents, Risk Assessments, and Progress reports.
