SEN Teacher Position

We are seeking a qualified and experienced SEN Teacher to join our outstanding SEN School in Wandsworth. The school caters for students aged 2-11 with Severe Learning Difficulties, Autism, and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
The successful SEN Teacher will lead a primary class of 8 students with the aid of at least 3 TAs. They will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons differentiated to meet the needs of individual students. Children at this level work at P levels 1-8.
The curriculum will focus on communication, social relationships, and emotional development, conceptual development, and sensory responses. Student achievement is measured regularly against 3 profiles, with emphasis on individual progress and not specific grades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons differentiated to meet the needs of individual students
- Lead a primary class of 8 students with the aid of at least 3 TAs
- Use a range of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, including Makaton Signing, On Body Signing, Coactive Signing, PODD Communication Books, PECS, and hi-tech voice output technologies
Requirements:
- QTS and experience in teaching children with similar needs
