A new opportunity has arisen within our Planning Team on site. As a Transport Operations Planner, you will work closely with the team to produce and manage daily transport plans for several major retail customers within the Wincanton network.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Produce and manage daily transport plans for retail customers, ensuring accurate and efficient operations.
  • Manage the booking of agency drivers and support the production of accurate driver rotas.
  • Develop and implement planning tools and systems to drive commercial benefits and CI improvements across the contract.
  • Support planning for future changes, developments, and customer requirements.
  • Improve and develop forecasting to ensure resource is appropriately managed.
  • Work with the Customer Demand, Planning, and Warehouse teams to ensure accurate information and plans are aligned and produced on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Requirements:



  • Experience in planning in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong background in retail and transport.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and make clear decisions with rationale.
  • Customer-focused and committed to meeting deadlines.
