Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Health and Safety Consultant to join our team at Carbon60.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned HSE professional to work on various projects, promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout our company and supply chain.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of effective health and safety management systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of site performance, risk assessments, and method statements, identifying areas for improvement and implementing remedial actions as necessary.
  • Deliver regular reports on project health and safety performance, targeting key performance indicators (KPIs) in line with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote best practices and provide guidance to site personnel to ensure adherence to established health and safety processes.
  • Manage and coordinate robust inspection and audit regimes to monitor compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure relevant health and safety training needs are met.
  • Respond effectively to incidents, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions.

Requirements

  • A degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification (e.g., NEBOSH).
  • Hold a recognized IOSH certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Health and Safety Advisor in a related sector (chemical & petrochemical, nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities, renewables, and food & beverage markets).
  • Certified Competent Nuclear Site Supervisor (CCNSG).

Working Conditions

  • Monday to Friday working hours, fully on-site.
  • Based in the Bridgewater area.

Benefits

  • An estimated annual salary of £46,000 (PAYE).
