Job Summary

We are excited to be partnering with a leading professional services company based in Belfast to recruit a new Chief Operating Officer. Our client, a respected organisation with a UK-wide presence, is embarking on an exciting phase of growth and transformation. They are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to drive operational excellence and lead the company through its next stage of development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Service Excellence: Foster a culture of high-quality service delivery, ensuring that client expectations are met and exceeded across all professional services lines.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company's strategic plan, translating business goals into actionable operational plans.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure that all operations adhere to regulatory and legal requirements, managing risks effectively and maintaining a strong compliance framework.
  • Technology & Innovation: Oversee the implementation of new technologies and systems that enhance operational effectiveness, while staying ahead of industry trends and advancements.
  • Financial Performance: Monitor and manage the company's operational budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while delivering on service excellence.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior management, the board of directors, and key stakeholders to ensure operational objectives align with broader business goals.
  • Talent Management & Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing operations team, ensuring that all employees are supported, developed, and empowered to deliver their best work.
  • Change Management: Lead transformation initiatives, managing organisational change effectively to support business growth and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution.
  • Knowledge of risk management, governance, and compliance frameworks, with experience in ensuring regulatory adherence across operations.
  • Experience in leading change and transformation within an organisation, with a focus on continuous improvement.
