Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Construction Operative to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for transporting digital units to installation sites, breaking ground, and installing new units.

This is a physically demanding role that requires working at height, mainly using a small step ladder. You will need to be a team player, able to watch and help your crew partner as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Transport digital units from the depot to the installation site via a HGV truck.
  • Break ground and install digital units.
  • Replace component level parts on digital units.
  • Follow the Construction Design and Management regulations 2015.
  • Ensure traffic management is in place before starting work, with segregation and prevention measures to prevent unauthorized people within your working area.
  • Follow our Health and Safety policy and site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
  • Correctly use equipment, maintain, and keep tools/equipment safe on site.
Requirements
  • Full driving licence with no more than 3 points.
  • Class 2 HGV licence.
  • CPCS A36 Lorry loader hook (novice or above).
  • CPCS Slinger.
  • Competency in CAT use.
  • NRSWA accreditation to Operative standard.
  • CDM knowledge.
  • Excavation and sub-structure knowledge.
  • Understanding of RAMS.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Competency in use of power tools such as Hydraulic breakers and Disc Saws.
