Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Power Systems Manager to lead our team in defining the system elements required to feed into the submarine design and build process. As a key member of our Electrical Power Systems Definition team, you will be responsible for managing the processes and reviews of technical documentation, managing associated technical risks, assumptions and dependencies, and providing advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage an engineering team to deliver the functional design and definition of Electrical Power Systems equipment.
  2. Manage the processes and reviews of technical documentation.
  3. Manage associated technical risks, assumptions and dependencies.
  4. Provide advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplines.
  5. Engage with customers and suppliers to provide solutions to complex problems.
  6. Take a leading role by guiding the team through the systems definition process.
  7. Provide leadership and mentoring of more junior team members to ensure the necessary capability and skills development.
Requirements:
  1. Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering background.
  2. Engineering Chartership required (or equivalent experience demonstrated).
  3. Significant knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Team Leadership experience.
