Electrical Fire Alarm Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly organised and professional Fire Alarm Engineer to join our client's team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a family-owned construction and property maintenance business proudly serving the heart of Central London for over 17 years.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, knowing the key essentials of maintaining a fire alarm system and being able to install a fire alarm system in the most professional manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure effective running of assigned jobs, including reactive call-outs in hours and out of hours.
  • Take care of assigned tools and equipment, ensuring they are well-maintained and compliant with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Liaise with customers and tenants to ensure expectations are managed and met, allocating sufficient labour and time as required.
  • Resourcing equipment and materials in conjunction with the Supervising Technician and Maintenance Manager, following a systematic and logical sequence of works.
  • Filling out job sheets with callout description and time taken, as well as necessary log sheets and keeping logbooks up to date.
Requirements:
  • Driving license (essential)
  • Own tools
  • Minimum 1 year experience with fire alarm systems
  • Minimum 1 year installation experience
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to fix and solve possible problems
Work Arrangements:

The role will involve working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm, with occasional Saturdays if needed. The area is mainly within the M25, but there may be occasional visits to buildings outside London.

Salary:

£42,500 per annum, with Saturday rates at 1.5 times hourly rate.
