CEVA Logistics is seeking a skilled Category Executive to join our Procurement and Carrier Management team in Northwest Europe. As a Category Executive, you will be responsible for the procurement of our Ground & Rail sub-contractor network, ensuring suppliers are operationally efficient and effective in meeting CEVA's and our customers' needs.
About the RoleThis is a hybrid role that requires collaboration with the wider team, travelling to supplier and CEVA operations, and working from home focused on sourcing strategies and category expenditure. You will report into the Head of Procurement Carrier Management Northwest Europe and work closely with the UK&I Carrier Management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forge strong working relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
- Implement clear business plans, category strategies, and sourcing objectives
- Lead all contractual commercial negotiations with suppliers
- Manage tender processes from identification of needs to supplier selection and implementation
- Define, assess, qualify, and evaluate suppliers in cooperation with operational and carrier management teams
- Manage RFX processes for all Ground & Rail sub-contracting activities
Requirements:
- Proven road freight or logistics category management experience
- Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply certification (CIPS)
- Proven experience of managing the end-to-end process of supplier onboarding, including risk mitigation, contract review, and commercial negotiations
- Proficiency in MS packages, particularly MS Excel, and familiarity with BI tools
