Job Title: Examinations Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Examinations Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of external examinations, ensuring compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and manage exam schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines.
  • Coordinate with exam invigilators, providing support and training as needed.
  • Set up and maintain exam systems, including SIMS and Exams Organiser.
  • Liaise with Heads of Department to establish exam entry requirements and deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with JCQ and exam board regulations, providing updates and training to staff as required.
  • Manage exam materials, including scripts and certificates, ensuring confidentiality and security.
  • Coordinate with the Finance Office to ensure timely payment of exam entry fees.
  • Provide information to candidates and parents regarding exam timetables, JCQ documentation, and exam board information.
  • Manage exam sessions, including public and internal examinations, ensuring adherence to JCQ and exam board regulations.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a busy and pressured environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SIMS.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and external partners.
  • Understanding of JCQ and exam board regulations, with ability to provide training and updates to staff.
Working Hours:

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 30 minutes for lunch. Holidays to be taken during school holidays.

Pay is equivalent to £26,873 - £28,770 pa.
