Apprentice Building Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Daniel Owen Ltd, working on Social Housing Responsive Repairs and Planned refurbishment works programs. This is a Hybrid position requiring flexibility to travel and work closely with Operational teams in Basingstoke and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor contract progress, assess, and report changes affecting project costs and time scales.
- Liaise with Contract Managers to establish project specifications and requirements.
- Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors.
- Assist in controlling contract budgets.
- Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts for designated projects.
- Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client/Client's representative.
- Prepare monthly valuation reports.
- Submit invoices for certified value and ensure timely payments.
- Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and/or Clients/Customers, building relationships and demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Assist in developing the procurement programme.
- Assist in preparing, processing, and selecting estimates, bids, and tenders to demanding timescales.
