The students we support at Teaching Personnel often face various challenges, including behavioral issues, special educational needs, and being looked after. Our goal is to provide these students with the skills they need to thrive in life.

This role involves:

  • Designing and delivering engaging and high-quality 1-1 and group-based functional skills sessions to learners.
  • Assessing learners' progress and providing constructive feedback to facilitate their learning and development.
  • Identifying individual learner needs and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintaining accurate records of learner attendance, progress, and achievements.
  • Being aware of learners' individual needs, such as emotional support.

Requirements:

  • Professional teaching qualifications are preferred (Qualified Teaching Status, QTS) or significant TA/Tutoring experience.
  • Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH, or other additional needs.
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via Teaching Personnel (support for obtaining one can be provided).
  • Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.
