Job Information

At South East Water, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Data PRV team.

As a Leakage Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our leakage data equipment and systems. We use advanced technology to locate and fix leaks to protect our water supply.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining and repairing all leakage data equipment.
  2. Maintaining PRVs and similar apparatus identified by our maintenance program.
  3. Troubleshooting data issues which could lead to zonal integrity and suspect flows.
  4. Performing site surveys, repair, or replace defective data devices and PRV equipment and carrying out installation and downloading of loggers as required.
  5. Changing or repairing district meters and mechanisms on site in line with valve operating procedures and Health and Safety requirements.
  6. Assisting with data logging of projects including Top 100, E-metering, Control areas, MoD sites, pressure logging, and customer meters.
  7. Liaising with SEW customer contact centre staff, Production Staff, Engineering Staff, and other SEW staff on data/PRV-related work and other leakage team activities.
  8. Engaging with and assisting SEW customers as required.

What we are looking for:

  1. You will have knowledge and experience of leakage detection activities and be competent in the use of leakage detecting equipment.
  2. You will have knowledge and experience of pressure reducing values, valve operations, flushing, and main tracing.
  3. You will preferably have experience repairing Data equipment and PRVs (training can be provided).
  4. You have a full clean driver's license.
  5. You are able to work in confined spaces and carry out manual handling.
  6. You will know how to manage Health and Safety for teams and contractors.
  7. You have good communication and customer service skills.
