About the Disputes Practice

The Disputes Practice at Alaco is a cutting-edge division that specializes in providing expert intelligence and strategic advice on contentious and asset recovery matters. Our team works closely with law firms, clients, and other advisors to deliver admissible evidence, actionable insights, and tailored solutions.

As an Associate at Alaco, you will play a critical role in project delivery, managing casework, and shaping strategy. You will curate research plans, determine key elements of emphasis, and present findings to clients. Your expertise will help drive success in high-stakes disputes worldwide.

Your Responsibilities

  • Casework Management: Review client briefs, create bespoke research plans, and manage projects from start to finish.
  • Research and Analysis: Identify and analyze information from public records and human sources, both independently and in conjunction with junior analysts.
  • Reporting and Presentation: Prepare comprehensive written reports and present findings orally to clients as required.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise the work of junior research analysts on individual assignments.
  • Client Liaison: Curate, brief, and liaise with external human sources to gather critical information.
  • Business Development: Assist in developing business opportunities through event attendance, content creation, and research projects.

Your Qualifications

  • Experience: 4-5 years in business intelligence or a related field, preferably in disputes and asset tracing.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and creative approach to research, excellent communication skills, and comfort interacting with clients and their advisors.
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is around $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
