About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Special Needs School in Herne Hill, South East London. As a SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers and school leadership to deliver lessons, provide targeted support to students, and contribute to the overall development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver lessons and provide targeted support to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and challenging behaviour.
  • Work closely with teachers and school leadership to develop and implement inclusive learning plans.
  • Contribute to the overall development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the delivery of a curriculum that promotes lifelong learning and stimulates pupils' creativity.
Requirements
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant Level 5 qualification.
  • Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour.
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, with a demonstrated ability to lead lessons and support diverse learning needs.
  • A kind, caring, and compassionate nature, with a passion to teach outside of a mainstream environment.
