R13 are partnering with a specialist manufacturing business to find a skilled 2D CAD Designer to work in Norwich. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for creating 2D product solutions using CAD software, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and adherence to established design guidelines.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary depending on experience. The working hours are 9am - 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop customised product solutions using 2D AutoCAD, following established design principles and procedures.
  • Generate 'works orders' to convey design and component specifications to production teams and external suppliers.
  • Adhere to company manual guidelines for product design and 'works orders' in line with agreed design principles and procedures.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to define requirements, develop design solutions, and conduct on-site assessments.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of 2D CAD design software and good technical understanding of engineering drawings.
  • Methodical and logical approach, with excellent communication skills, including telephone and face-to-face interactions.
  • Computer literate with experience of the relevant software.
