Outpatient Department Assistant

HCA Healthcare UK is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our outpatient department as an Outpatient Department Assistant. In this key role, you will provide essential support to our clinical teams, helping to deliver high-quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

The successful candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and have a keen eye for detail. They will be responsible for organizing patient records, updating clinic lists, and assisting with equipment setup and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize patient records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing patient reports and updating clinic lists.
  • Help maintain equipment, including Holter and ambulatory blood pressure monitors.
  • Support consultants, cardiac physiologists, and nurses in delivering high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience within a care setting environment or NHS/private hospital preferred.

Salary and Benefits:

  • This role comes with an annual salary of £30,000 - £40,000, depending on experience, plus benefits including private healthcare insurance, contributions to a pension plan, and access to a comprehensive range of flexible health, protection, and lifestyle benefits.
  • We also offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), increasing with service, with the option to buy or sell leave to suit individual needs.
