About the Job:

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for planning and implementing efficient CNC programs for contour path machining, working closely with production staff to optimize machine tool utilization and reduce setup times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain efficient CNC programs for contour path machining
  • Collaborate with production staff to optimize machine tool utilization and reduce setup times
  • Analyze and advise on make versus purchasing decisions to minimize costs
  • Identify and implement cost-saving solutions through Lean Manufacturing principles

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in precision engineering, with a focus on mechanical component manufacturing
  • Proven track record of off-line CNC programming using CAD/CAM software
  • Experience with Gibbs CAM software is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of lean-manufacturing principles and practices
