Compensation:
£55-65 Umbrella (Inside IR35)

Role Overview
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the technical authority within their discipline by offering expert technical contributions to engineering initiatives.

The role involves overseeing both significant projects and smaller tasks, ensuring the production of deliverables while leading engineering teams to achieve high-quality, effective engineering solutions that you will be accountable for approving.

You will work autonomously to define work packages, determine suitable deliverables and pathways, and proactively manage emerging challenges.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing and managing engineering deliverables in compliance with established standards and procedures.
  • Developing, reviewing, and approving realistic project plans and timelines to ensure timely delivery of work packages.
  • Providing regular updates on deliverable statuses.
  • Approving engineering outputs within your delegated authority.
  • Specifying and accepting contractor activities to ensure compliance with specifications and timelines.
  • Identifying and managing technical challenges encountered on-site.
  • Producing and reviewing change management documentation.
  • Monitoring asset performance and condition, taking necessary actions to ensure compliance with management plans.
  • Striving for continuous improvement in asset performance through effective engineering practices.
  • Conducting commissioning activities as required.
  • Providing technical input for work package delivery.
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert in defined areas.
  • Participating in technical forums and making informed decisions within your expertise.
  • Owning projects and work packages that impact your area of responsibility.

Required Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years in a technical engineering role.
  • Extensive experience in delivering design packages throughout their lifecycle.
  • Experience in supervising and managing staff or agency resources.
