About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive community at our exceptional primary school in Haringey.

The successful candidate will provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and collaborate with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN to enhance their academic and social skills.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of IEPs to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.

Requirements
  • Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to supporting students with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with teachers and staff.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes social and emotional growth.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education is a plus, but not essential.
