Embedded Systems Engineer - £50-£60k - Oxford - Onsite

Our client, a leading provider of safety solutions, is seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design and selection of processing hardware used in solutions, integrating and building embedded Linux OS optimised for hardware and applications, and ensuring embedded systems are secure and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and select processing hardware for solutions
  2. Integrate and build embedded Linux OS
  3. Ensure embedded systems are secure and up-to-date
Requirements:
  1. 2 years embedded software development experience - C/C++/Python
  2. BSc or BEng in Computer Science, Engineering or any related field
  3. Strong knowledge of working with Linux in an embedded system - Bash Scripting
  4. Excellent understanding of networking - IPV4, routing, DNS, DHCP, firewalls and network traffic analysis
  5. Good knowledge of SoC systems
  6. Desirable to have Docker experience, and experience working with higher level web tech (Web Servers/HTML/JavaScript), etc
