About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our Global Risk Management team at JELD-WEN, Inc. This critical role will support the global Internal Audit function responsible for testing internal controls and performing operational audits to drive effective and efficient controls and processes leveraging best practices to support the business in its focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, perform, report, and follow-up on designated corporate audits, special project reviews, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing in accordance with the annual audit plan.
  • Assist in the execution of the annual audit plan, working closely with the Director/Manager of Internal Audit.
  • Develop testing programs and perform audit test work, ensuring high-quality workpapers that stand on their own.
  • Work with or supervise other team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop recommendations for improvements for control and operational weaknesses, driving business value and continuous improvement.
  • Assist external auditors in financial statement work as assigned during the year-end audit.
Requirements
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail, accountability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated to succeed, with a willingness to invest in oneself, ask questions, listen, and learn.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1-6 years of progressive internal audit and/or public accounting experience, preferably with a Fortune 500 Company or Big Four firm.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects, and drive them to conclusion.
