As a Senior Oncology Nurse Specialist at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, you will be responsible for managing a virtual ward of patients with complex needs. The estimated salary for this role is £53,000 - £69,000 per annum.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree and significant experience in oncology nursing. You will be working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide follow-up care and support to patients with cancer-related conditions. Your expertise will also be utilized to develop and implement care pathways for patients undergoing diagnostic tests as outpatients.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and improving health outcomes, we encourage you to apply.

  • Follow SOPs developed for virtual ward and those existing within the Oncology service to manage a caseload of patients.
  • Liaise with all key members of the multidisciplinary team to advise and support colleagues in the delivery of specialised patient care within the remit of the virtual ward.
  • Work autonomously to deliver specialist clinical care appropriate to the needs of the patient group and based on principles that are research-based.
