Assembly Technician

Assembly Technician Wanted:

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team at Pearson Whiffin - Manufacturing, Engineering & Technical. The successful candidate will have a strong background in assembling mechanical components and have knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

About the Role:

This Assembly role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, assembling automotive components using various hand and power tools. Duties include installing components and sub-assemblies, fault finding to component level, interpreting schematics, and carrying out quality checks in a safety-critical environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an assembly/mechanical fitter role
• The ability to read and follow technical drawings and schematics
• An understanding of electrics, such as wiring looms, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• The ability to fit fixings such as nuts and bolts, electrical plugs, and hydraulic adapters
• A good level of physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy products and stand for long periods
• Skills using hand and power tools
• High levels of attention to detail
