Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a 'Good' SEND school in Huyton. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH difficulties in a one-on-one and small group setting, providing individualized attention and care.
  • Build strong relationships with students, teachers, and staff, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation, ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Monitor student progress and report any concerns to teachers and parents.
  • Collaborate with therapists and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEMH difficulties or similar.
  • Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to work with students of all abilities and learning styles.
  • Positive and ambitious attitude towards learning and supporting students.
