Singh & Jones Ltd is a renowned facade engineering consultancy with a global presence. To strengthen their commercial team, they are seeking an experienced Senior Facade Engineer to join their middle management team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Facades and be responsible for analyzing configurations of facade components, producing finite element analysis, and calculating loads on various structures.

Key duties include:

  • Analyzing configurations of aluminum curtain wall, unitized, and cladding systems
  • Producing finite element analysis and U Values
  • Calculating pressures, stresses, and strains on various loads
  • Advising on structural designs and variations using expert knowledge
  • Liaising with designers, architects, and main contractors
  • Creatingspecifications, computer models, and drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Liaising with construction contractors to ensure newly erected buildings are structurally sound
  • Applying expertise in forces acting on various structures
  • Leading and mentoring junior staff

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience, a strong academic background in Structural or Civil Engineering/Architectural Technologist, and potentially pursuing or holding an MSc in Facade Engineering or ASFE (Member Society of Facade Engineering).

This role offers progression opportunities, including potential designation as Facade Director within the consultancy. The position can be based from home full-time.
