Learning Support Assistant Vacancy

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Academics. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with a range of needs, either in a classroom setting or on a one-to-one basis.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the SENCo and class teachers to ensure each child's individual needs are met. You will be responsible for providing support to children with special educational needs, including those with physical, sensory, or learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children with special educational needs in a classroom setting or on a one-to-one basis
  • Work closely with the SENCo and class teachers to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons to meet the needs of children with special educational needs
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children with special educational needs
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive support for children with special educational needs
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience working with children, ideally including those with additional needs
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the specific needs of each child
  • High expectations for all children
  • Willingness to engage in CPD to further support the needs of our pupils
