Job Description

We are excited to announce a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Principal Civil Engineer to join our team at Dorset Council. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality projects that enhance the county's transportation network and support economic growth.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the delivery of infrastructure projects, including bridge maintenance and replacement initiatives
  • Managing a small team of engineers, providing guidance and mentorship as needed
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including local communities, statutory bodies, and external consultants
  • Maintaining and developing good working relationships with colleagues and partners

We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum (dependent on experience), as well as access to a range of employee benefits, training opportunities, and career progression prospects.
