About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading international commercial firm in London as a Senior Property Litigation Partner. The firm has an excellent reputation as a trusted adviser to a wide portfolio of clients across various sectors, including transport, logistics, international trade, retail, insurance, marine, health, education, manufacturing, public sector, and banking and financial services.

The Real Estate Litigation team requires a partner to lead the team, working with partners across its offices and departments to ensure work is undertaken promptly and to a high quality and appropriate level. The successful candidate will have joint responsibility for the team achieving team budgets and gross margins and be required to meet a personal contribution towards the team budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the team and work with partners across offices and departments to ensure work is undertaken promptly and to a high quality and appropriate level.
  • Have joint responsibility for the team achieving team budgets and gross margins.
  • Meet personal contribution towards team budget.
  • Introduce work of appropriate quality into the team and the firm generally.
  • Collaborate with partners and fee earners in other teams within the wider firm to promote and generate work for the Real Estate Litigation team.
  • Support the development of junior fee earners in the team by mentoring and ensuring that appropriate career development plans are in place.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in handling complex property litigation matters to trial both as supervising partner and case handler.
  • Experience with a full range of property disputes with a particular focus on real property (easements, restrictive covenants); contractual disputes; insolvency-property disputes.
  • Ability to delegate work to junior fee earners to ensure they are fully resourced and working to capacity.
  • Excellent Business Development and Marketing skills.
  • A successful record at a reputable firm, a strong following, and the ability to maintain and grow their client base.
